During consultation, our experts have a one-on-one conversation to understand your donor requirements, such as race, height, appearance, education and many more. This process takes a couple of minutes to an hour.

We then begin the search using the ideal donor profile that was built from the information that you provided. With networks across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, BabySun Fertility Center boasts one of the world’s largest egg donor profile libraries, offering you the broadest and highest-quality selection of potential donors.

When our donors sign up to our profile library, they are required to undertake a medical examination. This reveals any underlying health concerns, ensures that they are eligible for egg donation and builds the donor profile that we eventually send to you.

Generally, we are able to immediately provide several donor profiles to you to select from. We will continue to provide newer profiles as they come online. This timeline of this process may vary from a week to two months, depending on the client’s preferences.

Video conferencing is the last step in the egg donor matching process. Once you have confirmed which donor profile you would like to move forwards with, we will aim to organize a video conference. From there, you can ask questions and also see how the person looks, opposed to their preprepared images. *Please note, the donor does reserve the right to not participate as they may not want to know the receiving family.

Based on this call, you may then mark the matching process as complete.

In addition to the early medical evaluation, BFC organizes another round of assessments. With the donor’s consent, we look into their family and personal history to ensure there are no unapparent issues. The donor also undergoes psychological review so that they are emotionally prepared for the donation process and what it may mean to them.

We also perform extensive medical testing which includes blood, hormone and genetic screening.

BFC forms a contractual agreement with the donor that outlines their compensation schedule. Insurance is also arranged for the donor so they can enjoy a peace-of-mind throughout the process.

When the time is right, she can start a cycle. In a natural cycle, a woman generally releases a single egg. However, for fertility programs, we control the ovarian stimulation so that she is able to release 15 to 20 mature eggs. Our IVF treatment center will prescribe daily medication to the donor to inject. The medication’s purpose is to stimulate multiple egg-producing follicles and to prevent eggs from releasing.

It is important for the donor to be carefully monitored so that they are not at risk of Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome (OHSS), whereby their ovaries become painfully enlarged.

Once eggs are ready, our donor is provided a “trigger shot”. This injection causes the eggs to be matured and be prepared for collection. If our donor is not already located near the BFC clinic of your choice, we will organize her transport and accommodation to the destination clinic.

36 hours following the injection, our donor would be placed under sedation and the mature eggs would be retrieved. The retrieval process takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and she would able to resume normal activities within the same day. Her translation, travel and food expenses occurred during this trip would also reimbursed.

During the egg retrieval process, BFC would have coordinated with you so that you may hopefully be present at the clinic, at the same time. Your fresh semen sample would be purified and be ready for use. This allows for the fresh eggs to be combined with your fresh sperm cells to ensure maximum embryo quality.
