Established in 2018, BFC, BabySun Fertility Center, was first founded to assist gay males in mainland China. For context, the country to this day does not legally recognise the prominent LGBTQ+ community present there. Understanding the local restrictions of China and similar countries, but supporting the right to have children, BFC was created.
BFC is a US-based company that offers its services to clients all around the world. The company operates internationally and is committed to comply with various regional laws. BFC is also one of the first IVF companies to promote newer-generation IVF technologies that was previously limited to traditional male-female IVF services.
Whilst traditional families are able to have both a mother and father to complete IVF procedures, LGBTQ+ members commonly require egg or sperm donations. They may also require a surrogate mother to participate in the process.
Furthermore, in most legal systems, LGBTQ+ people are only recognised as unmarried/single-adults, which may pose legal issues on the child.
BFC understands these requirements and restrictions, and therefore, our solutions are focused on addressing these hurdles. Granting more opportunity for LGBTQ+ to legally have children.
